From time to time little quotes and tidbits appear, in newspapers and in videos, stating that the core of journalism is to check power and reveal deceit, and so on and so forth.
Maybe it’s just because editors and journalists are the most hypocritical and self–congratulatory species on planet Earth. But it always amazes how they say THEY do all of these wonderful and important things for society and democracy. Stuff I honestly thought I was doing, along with a small core of die–hard heros who care about their world and rarely get any pay for their efforts.
So these are journalistic traits, eh? Well, maybe they were, somewhere in our common past. These days? Not so much. Now they not only pretend to believe anything government or corporations say, they actively conspire with these shadowy forces, aiming to deceive the public even further. Time and time again.
